300 deals with health staff in North Wales cost £9m over three years, FOI reveals

The Welsh Daily Post reports:

Health managers in North Wales struck more than 300 deals with staff to quit their posts over three years, costing £9m, it emerged yesterday.

The ‘compromise agreements’ were signed under a voluntary early release scheme during 2009/10 and included confidentiality clauses over the terms of the employee’s departure.

Staff who sought to leave in this way also waived any rights to pursue any claims in the courts, the Betsi Cadwaladr health board said.
