Soup spillages, scaldings, slips and even an accident outside Black Rod’s entrance have occurred by hapless people at the Houses of Parliament in recent years.

There’s been more than 600 accidents reported since 2008, figures from a Freedom of Information request show.

Incidents may involve Members of either House and their staff, staff of either House, staff in the Parliamentary ICT department, contractors and visitors to the Parliamentary estate.
