The number of calls the West Midlands ambulance services has responded to relating to alcohol has rised in the last four years a Freedom of Information request has revealed.

Ambulance crews are dealing with a massive rise of booze-fuelled incidents caused by Britain’s alcohol-crazed culture.
In the West Midlands over the last four years, paramedics have been called to 52 per cent more emergencies caused directly as a result of drinking.
Shock figures revealed under the Freedom of Information Act showed an increase of 8,053 cases from 2008 to 2011, involving people of all ages, on the streets of the region.
