Councillors in Barnet have been failing to pay their council tax, a Freedom of Information request has revealed. 

North London News report: 

EIGHT Barnet councillors have been summoned to court over unpaid council tax, a BBC programme has revealed.

The revelation came following a Freedom of Information Act request by BBC Two’s Sunday Politics programme as part of an investigation screened this weekend.
Barnet Council revealed that since 2000, eight serving councillors had received a court summons for non-payment of council tax.
