BBC executive paid two salaries by corporation, FOI reveals

A BBC boss has failed to declare a second salary which he is paid by the corporation, a Freedom of Information request has revealed.

The Telegraph report:

he 66-year-old is paid a salary of £183,300 as BBC Creative Director, which he declares on the official online register for the top 100 senior managers as his “salary and total remuneration”.

But after a Freedom of Information request by the Daily Mail it has been revealed that he is paid a second “secret” salary for his role as editor and presenter of the flagship arts programme Imagine.

The BBC and Yentob have refused to reveal how much his second salary is, but sources have claimed that it is “easily” £150,000 – which would bump his BBC pay to around £330,000.
