The Scunthorpe Telegraph report:

JOHN Leggott College in Scunthorpe has spent more than £700,000 on voluntary severance and redundancy packages in the last three years.

The figure has been revealed following a Freedom of Information request by Ian Sharp, a former vice- principal at the college for 13 years.

A spokeswoman for the college said the payments were the result of a reorganisation at the campus, which is already reaping benefits for students.
