The Plymouth Herald report:

RANK and file police officers have criticised Police Commissioner Tony Hogg for the “spiralling” costs of running his office.

Mr Hogg expects to spend £700,000 on consultants and agency staff in his first 16 months in office, according to figures revealed yesterday.

The £700,000 – disclosed in a freedom of information request – covers the period from November 2012 until March 2014.
