This is Cornwall report:
Devon and Cornwall Police have had to give “words of advice” to seven members of staff over often foul-mouthed use of Twitter or Facebook in the past two years.
Six serving officers and one police community support officer have been contacted by the Professional Standards Department about posts on the social media network.
But, following a freedom of information request, the force confirmed that no members of staff have had to leave the force or been dismissed as a result of the comments which were made. Three of the incidents related to images which had been uploaded to Twitter, and Devon & Cornwall Police did not disclose the nature of what had been posted.
