The Galloway News report:

Council vehicles were involved in 448 crashes in three years – an average of three a week.

And the total cost of repairing the damage came in at more than £319,000.

The figures, revealed in a Freedom of Information request made by the News, cover the period from October 2009 to September, 2012.
