Firefighters have received compensation after dodging cows and hurting their hands on lockers, a Freedom of Information request has revealed. 

The Mirror report:

A firefighter who hurt his hand on a fire engine’s locker triggered a ­compensation claim that cost around £250,000.

Another received a payout after hurting himself while dodging a rampaging cow while others have pocketed thousands of pounds for slips and trips.

Lawyers pocketed £140,000 in costs after an East Sussex firefighter hurt his hand in a concertina-style locker door.
