FOI reveals 105 offences linked to the Pokemon Go game

Police recorded 105 offences linked to the Pokemon Go game in just five weeks – including robberies, sex offences and thefts, it can be revealed.

A Freedom of Information request to the Met Police revealed a string of offences logged by cops since the launch of the app in the UK on July 14 until August 21 – a period of just five weeks.

The game, a smash hit all over the globe with more than 500 million downloads, allows players to ‘track down and catch’ various Pokemon characters by scouring the streets for them.
