More than 20 police investigations have been launched into alleged disorder among touts, sabotage and theft of boats in Cambridge’s ‘punt wars’.

Details have emerged about a total of 21 probes undertaken by officers since 2011 over incidents linked to the lucrative trade.

Inquiries into battles in the street between punt touts fighting for business have been recorded, documents released to the News using freedom of information laws have revealed.
