PRISONERS in Scots jails have been caught using Facebook almost 500 times in the last five years.

Crooks with smuggled phones log on to the site to keep in touch with family and friends on the outside.

But an angry MSP warned yesterday that they could also use phones to plan crimes, run gangs and torment their victims.
