The Burton Mail report:

SEVENTY-NINE employees of the healthcare trust which runs Burton’s Queen’s Hospital earn more than £100,000 a year, a Freedom of Information request has revealed.

The group of high-earners, consisting mainly of consultant doctors and senior managers, includes one employee who pocketed between £200,000 and £210,000 in 2011-12, the most recent financial year for which figures are available.

Also among the best paid were trust chief executive Helen Ashley, who was given between £135,000 and £140,000, and finance director Tony Waite, who received between £180,000 and £185,000.
