Two Birmingham city councillors have been summonsed to court over unpaid council tax, new figures have revealed.

Voters expect elected members to be among the most prompt in paying their taxes and ensuring their finances are in order.

But figures issued under the Freedom of Information Act reveal that over the last three years up to 22 councillors have been late with payments.
