West Midlands Police caught 151 children carrying knives in the last 12 months – including one aged just 10.

The shock figures, from a Freedom of Information request, revealed that a third of the children were caught carrying the knives on school premises.

As well as the 10-year-old there were two 11 year olds, a dozen 12 year olds and 13 children aged 13 caught between April 2016 and March of this year.
