An investigation by The Cambridge Student can reveal that 28 Cambridge boat clubs received over £1,268,000 in contributions from both college funds and private benefactors between 2011 and 2013, while college received almost 3 million pounds.

The investigation also revealed that almost half of the responding colleges reserve accommodation specifically for the use of boat club members.

The majority of these colleges reserve only one room over a period of three years, with Trinity Hall allocating two rooms and Fitzwilliam College reserving a total of 13 rooms.
