A convicted paedophile and a rapist are among seven perverts in Wales who have successfully overturned orders placing them on the sex offenders register for life, WalesOnline can reveal.

A child rapist and an attacker who raped a woman aged over 16 are on the list of offenders struck off the register following a change in the law in 2012.

Despite being ordered by judges to sign the sex offenders register for life because they were deemed to pose an ongoing threat, seven convicted sex offenders have since been taken off the register following appeals to Welsh police forces.
