Almost 2,000 complaints over noise were made in Cambridge in the last year and more than 70 orders to ‘keep it down’ were issued by the city council.

New data has revealed there were a total of 1,861 complaints over noise in 2013/14 and 76 noise abatement orders issued by officials.

Hundreds of complaints about noise are lodged in Cambridge every year and include barking dogs, nuisance neighbours and rowdy parties.
