FOI reveals how Boris spent £60m to help four commuters get to work

In October 2013 only four people used the service regularly enough – five days in one week – to qualify for a regular travellers’ discount ticket, according to a Freedom of Information request by The Scoop website. In the same week in October 2012 it was 16.

If that October week really is representative of travel on the cable car, then it means that a good £15m of investment money per head has been spent helping those four regular commuters.
