Hundreds of people have been stranded in Greater Manchester hospitals this winter because of delays in sending them home.
Nearly 1,000 beds have been blocked in the region’s hospitals since November due to delays in transferring the patients elsewhere.
The MEN has learned that one patient has been delayed in a Wigan hospital for 57 days since the end of November.
