The Leicester Mercury report:

Leicester has more cockroach infestations than almost anywhere else in England, new statistics suggest.

Information released by the British Pest Control Association (BPCA) has revealed the city council had 609 call-outs to deal with the creatures in 2012 – the sixth highest in the country.
