FOI reveals Liverpool Mayor used £89,000 of public money for his legal fees

Liverpool’s Lib Dem leader is calling for Mayor Joe Anderson to pay back £89,000 of public money used to cover his legal fees for an employment tribunal.

Mayor Anderson recently went to an industrial employment tribunal after he was dismissed from Chesterfield High School in Crosby.

It came after he was given £4,500-a-year in paid time off from Chesterfield High School, where he had worked as a learning mentor, when he took up the role of city council leader on a full-time basis in 2010.
