Metropolitan police have dealt with over a hundred incidents involving clowns in the past year.

Police in London responded to 117 cases referring to the word ‘clown’ according to crime statistics released under a Freedom of Information (FoI) request.

The incidents include an assault in which the suspect was dressed as a clown with a painted face, a burglary where the suspects hair was described as being “like Krusty the Clown”, and 39 cases in which the term ‘clown’ was used as insult.
