Defence chiefs have been SPYING on injured soldiers over fears they were ­milking compensation payouts – and even hired private detectives, reports the Sunday People.

The troops have been targeted in a decade-long surveillance operation , which is still going on, after a surge in claims.

Bosses had suspected some were false or exaggerated.
