The Government has presided over a “system failure” in the NHS which has led to rising numbers of mentally ill children ending up in A&E, a leaked document reveals.
More than 1,400 vulnerable kids are now being admitted to hospital as an emergency every month after cuts to local early intervention services.
And only a third of those forced to go to A&E are actually able to be admitted to a bed within the same hospital.
