FOI reveals NHS Grampian paid out £860k in cancer compensation

MORE than £860,000 has been given in compensation payments to North-east patients who had their cancer misdiagnosed or for delays diagnosing the disease.

Figures released by NHS Grampian under the Freedom of Information Act show £860,747 has been given to less than five patients in the last three years.
