The number of Merseyside police getting the sack has nearly doubled in just two years.
A Freedom of Information request by the ECHO revealed that over the last three years police facing the maximum punishment, dismissal without notice rose from six in 2013, to 10 in 2015.
Six were fired for ‘discreditable conduct’ and three for ‘honesty and integrity’
