A 10-year-old and a man in his sixties are among more than 100 people arrested for throwing snowballs over the last three years.

Forces across the UK have been called out to deal with more than 15,000 snowball fights, despite many of the 999 and 101 calls concerning scuffles among schoolchildren on wintry days.

Among those arrested were scores of youngsters, including a 13-year-old who breached their ASBO by throwing a snowball and a group of 16-year-olds who raided a shop, chucking snow at petrified staff.
