FOI reveals record number of hate crimes recorded in Norfolk after Brexit vote

A Freedom of Information Request has revealed that 130 hate crimes were recorded from July to September in the county – a 25pc increase on the number from April to June and the highest quarterly figure since comparable data began in April 2012.

The figures come as three quarters of police forces in England and Wales reported highest-ever levels after the EU referendum on June 23, with only three forces recording a decrease.
