A COUNCIL employee who fell down a hole while strimming grass was involved in a compensation settlement of more than £70,000, it has emerged.

Neath Port Talbot Council made three payments totalling £72,570 to resolve the claim.

It was one of dozens of such compensation settlements made by authorities in the region.
