FOI reveals suspended council boss will receive more than £300k in pay before trial

The suspended chief executive of Caerphilly council will have received one third of a million pounds in pay by the time he goes on trial for misconduct in public office next year.

Anthony O’Sullivan has been suspended since early 2013 when a police investigation was launched.

A disclosure made to Plaid Cymru under the Freedom of Information Act shows that by January 5, 2015, when his trial is due to start at Bristol Crown Court, Mr O’Sullivan will have been paid £333,795 during his period of suspension.
