FOI reveals Top Gear bosses blew £6,500 on policing Cenotaph stunt

Top Gear bosses have been forced to admit they blew £6,500 of licence fee cash policing their controversial Cenotaph stunt, the Sunday People can reveal.

Official documents show NINE officers were drafted in to help presenter Matt LeBlanc film the scenes in central London that drew accusations of disrespect towards Britain’s war dead.

The 48-year-old US star roared around in a deafeningly loud Ford Mustang with rally driver Ken Block at the wheel. Their car spewed smoke as Block performed donuts just yards from the memorial.
