FOI reveals Tube drivers take four times as much sick leave as the average Londoner

Tube drivers take nearly three weeks off sick each year – four times the amount of sick leave taken by other Londoners.

Underground drivers take off 14 days a year because of illness, a Freedom of Information request by ITV found. According to the Office of National Statistics, the average worker in the capital takes off 3.5, while nationwide Brits took off 4.4 each in 2014.
