The Lancashire Evening Post report:

More than £60,000 has been paid out to fire-fighters in Lancashire who were hurt whilst carrying out their duties.

Figures obtained from a Freedom of Information request show that Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service paid out a total of £67,728 between 2008 and 2013.

The service received 17 claims from crew members in that time period.
