London ambulance service workers have been advised not to visit 226 homes in the capital unless they have police assistance.

There are a combined 390 residences on the Location Alert Register for the paramedic service, with more than 200 falling under the most serious classifications requiring staff to seek help from the police force before attending a scene.

The information was revealed after a Freedom of Information request was made.
