Office of Herts police commissioner brands information requests ‘persistent and oppressive’

The office of the Hertfordshire police and crime commissioner has branded requests for information from a member of the public as “persistent and oppressive.”

Diana Currie – who is deputy chief executive in commissioner David Lloyd’s office – made the remarks in a letter sent to Offley resident Mark Ryan, after he made Freedom of Information Requests.

Under the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act, members of the public can request information from public bodies, which in turn have 20 working days to provide a response.
