Police and Crime Commissioner accused of double claiming expenses, revealed by FOI, reffered to IPCC

The newly elected Police and Crime Commissioner for Lancashire who faces allegations that he claimed twice for travel expenses while working for the former Police Authority has been refeered to the Independent Police Complaints Commission.  

The details which revealed the claims for travel expenses were revealed via the Freedom of Information Act.

The Lancashire Evening Post report:

As reported by the Lancashire Evening Post yesterday, questions have been asked about the expenses Clive Grunshaw claimed as a public servant.

It is believed the issue has now been passed over to the Independent Police Complaints Commission.

A spokesman for the IPCC today said the watchdog is awaiting a referral.

Mr Grunshaw has been accused of “doubling milage” payments.
