A Freedom of Information request has revealed West Midlands Police officers accidentally fired their weapons 4 times in the last two years. 

On one occasion the bullet injured a colleague in the foot.

The incident, revealed in a Freedom of Information request, was one of four occasions in the past two years when officers from West Midlands Police mistakenly fired their weapons.

In one of the other cases, an officer shot through the floor of a police car.
