Public bodies in Scotland attract 15,000 FOI requests

The Scottish Herald report:

MORE than 15,000 requests under freedom of information legislation were made to Scotland’s public bodies in three months, according to the first dataset of its kind.

The Scottish Information Commissioner said there were 15,340 applications for information submitted between April 1 and June 30 this year. Rosemary Agnew, the commissioner, said she received 155 appeals in the same quarter, representing around 1% of all requests.
