Police in Cambridge received 44 complaints about drinks being spiked last year a Freedom of Information request has revealed.

Dozens of reports of drinks being ‘spiked’ in Cambridge nightclubs have been made – but police say the majority are made up.

New data has revealed that 44 reports of such incidents were made in the last year in Cambridgeshire where the alleged victim has told police their drink was tampered with.

There were three reports of ‘spiking’ at The Junction, two at Lola Lo’s nightclub, two at Revolution Bar in Downing Street, one each at The Place nightclub in Sidney Street, The Regal pub in St Andrew’s Street, Fez Club in Market Passage and Ballare nightclub in Heidelurg Gardens.
