Police in Sussex have released figures under the Freedom of Information act showing the number of reported rapes in Crawley has tripled in one year.  

This is Sussex report:

THE number of reported rapes in Crawley has almost tripled in one year to an average of two each month.

The worrying figures were released by Sussex Police after a Freedom Of Information Act request by the Crawley News.

Between November 1, 2011, and October 31, 2012, there were 24 rapes in the town of women aged over 16 reported to police, compared with nine the previous year.
