Local authorities in Wales who held lavish dinners for civic leaders at a time of cuts to services have been criticised.
Councils across Wales spent more than £28,000 on dinners for civic leaders and gifts for mayors of other authorities over the last three years.
The figures, released through a Freedom of Information request by Plaid Cymru, showed the largest amount to be spent by a single authority was Powys in 2011-12 with a bill totalling £1,790.25.
