29 women and 63 men have received injuries while at work for Bedfordshire Police in the last seven year a Freedom of Information request has revealed.

The injuries include assaults by members of the public as well as accidents.

These injuries include a female officer who received a broken eye socket, a policeman who was headbutted in the nose and two male police officers who had a reaction to medication they were taking.

One officer was kicked in the testicles while another fell down some stairs.

The results, which were
obtained through a Freedom Of Information request list all the injuries sustained by
uniformed officers since 2005.

However, while some of the injuries were as the result of an assault and in one case a road traffic collision where the other driver failed to stop, some are everyday workplace accidents.
