Police have used high-powered tasers on young children a Freedom of Information request has revealed. 

The Sunday Mirror, reporting from Open World News write: 

A girl of 12 has been shot by police with a 50,000-volt Taser electric stun-gun

She is one of many children zapped by police despite evidence that the weapon can cause heart attacks.

Our exclusive investigation reveals that in the past three years Tasers were also fired at seven children aged 14, seven aged 15 and 11 aged 16. Police have even threatened children of 11 with the weapons.
