Five out of six £1,200 Derby council oak trees confirmed dead, FOI reveals

The Derbyshire Telegraph report:

MOST of the expensive trees that were bought to go outside Derby’s newly-refurbished Council House have died.

The city council has blamed the weather for the death of five of the six cypress oaks, which cost the authority £1,200 each.
