The Daily Express report:
Research by patient charity the Macular Society reveals two-thirds of NHS trusts are not meeting critical four-week follow-up times to administer drugs that reverse or arrest macular degeneration, the most common cause of blindness.
Patients can wait up to 12 weeks for injections of drugs.
The delay means many could suffer irreversible loss of vision.
