Wales Online report:

More than 800 Welsh paramedics have been verbally or physically abused during work hours in the past three-years, new figures reveal.

Statistics obtained through the Freedom of Information act show that of the 815 incidents of physical orverbal abuse recorded since 2010, 219 resulted in injury to the paramedic involved.

Labour AM for Clwyd South Ken Skates, who obtained the data, said: “It is unfathomable that people would behave in this way and obstruct paramedics who regularly put themselves in danger to help others in life-threatening situations.
