The Coventry Telegraph report:

The Trust running Coventry’s University Hospital has been paid tens of thousands of pounds to allow sales reps access to maternity wards, the Telegraph can reveal.

 

University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust was paid more than £84,000 by the firm Bounty for its reps – so-called ‘Bounty Ladies’ – to gain access to new mums over the last few years.

 

The reps hand out information packs and free samples, collecting name and address details which are later passed on to commercial partners wanting to target new parents.
