The Kingston Guardian report:

Electric car charging points run by Kingston Council were used just 59 times in a year.

The seven charging points cost £17,500 to install.

The most-used plug was in the Rose Theatre car park, with 27 “transactions”, while the three plugs in Blagdon Road car park were used only twice each between March 2012 and April 2013.
